Deadline reports, David O' Russell of 'The Fighter' is interested in the 'American Bullshit' project, and considering Christian Bale for the lead. His reps initially declined any involvement, but an updated post on the same website has Russell's reply to all this speculation:
"Reports that I am attached to American Bullshit are premature. It is something I am in early discussions on and I have great respect for Chuck Roven and Christian Bale. I am also developing other projects and have not chosen my next film."
