In an attempt to avoid being overshadowed by The Avengers announcement from their superheroic counterparts at Marvel, word has it that Warner Bros. execs have seen a rough cut of The Dark Knight Rises, screened by Christopher Nolan. Since the movie doesn't officially open until July 20th, that should give the director plenty of time to tweak things (say, for example, if certain characters' voices aren't clear enough). Heat Vision reports that studio heads in attendance included film chief Jeff Robinov and production president Greg Silverman. With The Dark Knight Rises opening so soon after Comic-Con (although Nolan has yet to attend), it would be a big surprise if there weren't some sort of presence there this year.
