  1. 1999 version of A Midsummer Night's Dream by Michael Hoffman.

This version is an all-star movie with the action transferred to 19th century Tuscany. It is visually beautiful and makes the story accessible, but not everybody thinks it does justice to the play. (from Cliffnotes)

Kevin Kline as Bottom and Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Titania

Anna Friel as Hermia, Helena by Callista Flockhart, Christian Bale as Demetrius, and Dominic West as Lysander

2.  Max Reinhardt's 1935 version of A Midsummer Night's Dream starring James Cagney as Bottom, Mickey Rooney as Puck, and others

This movie is a dated but Oscar-winning adaptation and is good in parts. It includes the classic Mendelssohn music. (from Cliffnotes)

Anita Louise as Titania, Queen of the Fairies

Bottom and Titania, James Cagney and Anita Louise

3. Film version of Royal Shakespeare Company production directed by Adrain Noble on 1996.

This film version of a Royal Shakespeare Company production is intelligent and impressive, but it does contain some theatrical devices that might confuse students new to the play. For example, the wood near Athens is represented as a bare wooden floor, and some of the actors play more than one character. (from Cliffnotes)

Much of the film takes place in the minimalistic "forest" set. It's an empty stage with lightbulbs hanging down, oddly placed doors that appear and disappear, and strange colors. Titania sleeps in an upside-down umbrella. (from orthatyouwill.wordpress.com)
