In case anyone is interested, here's a quick update and what I've been doing in the realm of video games.  What have you been playing? Enjoy! Peace Love and Metal!!

Skyrim- Finished it up and dropped way too many hours into it.  It was fun and a worthy purchase, but as a whole I was a bit disappointed.  I should have a review (bitching session) up within the week.

StarCraft II-  I got a new laptop a couple of weeks ago, which means I can finally play one of my most wanted games, StarCraft II.  What can I say other than it it's nothing short of amazing.  The campaign is fun, even if it's heavily biased on the Terran (human) and the story is pretty interesting for a RTS.  The multiplayer is nothing short of amazing with perfect balance and an amazing matchmaking system.  I like how a 1vs1 match last about 10-15 min, which is great for squeezing in a quick game (or 20).  If you have any passing interest in RTS (Real Time Strategy) games, you need to get this game.  It does take a little time to learn the game, but with great support on Blizzards Battle.net forums and other cool gamer blogs you should be conquering space in no time.

Deus Ex:Human Revolution-  This is a pretty cool game if you're into sci-fi and stealth games.  The graphics are stunning and the narrative is pretty damn interesting, painting a picture of a not-to-distant-future where people can modify their bodies much further than what plastic surgery allows.  Want to be smarter, faster, and wear really cool sunglasses, there's surgery for that.  My only complaint with the game is that the voice actor of the main character sounds like Christian Bale's Batman after he smoked 20 packs of Pall Malls and took a lecture on the importance of being stoic.  Oh, well, the surrounding cast of characters are entertaining and the stealthy gameplay (if you choose, you can play run-and-gun style if you'd like, but it seems the game was designed with stealth more in mind).  Great game if you find it on the cheap.  It's kinda like Mass Effect combined with Metal Gear Solid with a few less cut-scenes.

Dead Space 2-  Gory, gory, gory, and gory.  But also super fun and well realized so far.  I was a big fan of the first and this one seems to be out doing that in every way so far.  I'd say I'm about 25% through with the game and I'm loving it so far.  Good challenge, fun weapons, disgusting monsters.  It also has one of the coolest into levels in-game ever.

Rayman:Origins-  Super Mario may have met his 2D side-scrolling match, Rayman.  Insanely detailed cartoon graphics and stellar level design make this game a joy to play.  So far it's challenging, but nothing that makes me want to throw my controller at the wall.  Great game for either short or long gaming sessions and great for when you're in the mood for something lighthearted.  There is a discounted price point (found mine brand new in the states for $30) and you get tons of content for the money, well worth picking up, especially if you're a 'Nintendo Kid'.

Dark Souls-  Occasionally chipping away at the New Game + mode and things are just as awesome as my first play-through.  This is one of the best games I've ever played and the sheer amount of content given on the disc is worth any price points.  Seriously, just buy this game.
