The Dark Knight Rises is almost here and fans are waiting relatively patiently. In order to satiate our thirst for the upcoming final chapter, 6 new high res character posters were released yesterday.
The film is the sequel to last years massively popular film, The Dark Knight. It is definitely one of the most anticipated films for the upcoming year. The film is being directed by Christopher Nolan.
The film is set to open in theaters on July 20, 2012. The film will star Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, MorganFreeman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Nestor Carbonell, Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Joey King, Brett Cullen, Chris Ellis, Josh Stewart, Christopher Judge, Adam Rodriguez and Rob Brown.
In the film, after the death of District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman assumes responsibility for Dent's crimes in order to protect Dent's reputation and is subsequently hunted by the Gotham City Police Department. Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, Batman returns to Gotham where he must discover the truth regarding the "enigmatic" Selina Kyle while stopping the villain Bane's plans to destroy the city.
The Dark Knight Rises will feature the clever and sexy Selina Kyle (played by Hathaway) better known as Catwoman.
