The first of what is sure to be many television commercials for The Dark Knight Rises has been released. It appeared during the finale of American Idol. It features a few new scenes that we haven't seen yet, including a scene in which Bruce Wayne asks Lucius Fox to "get him back in the game".
There is also a Bruce Wayne push-up scene, car chase scene, and an interesting scene with what seems to be a strobe light flashing as Batman comes closer and closer to the camera. It really was a better trailer than the last official trailer that was released.
Eight years after Harvey "Two Face" Dent's (Aaron Eckhart) death, a deranged mercenary known only as "Bane" (Tom Hardy) revitalizes the disbanded League of Shadows and leads them to Gotham to finish what Ras al Ghul (Liam Neeson) couldn't. Devastating the GCPD and the citizens of Gotham through a series of bombing and both releasing and arming the prisoners that Dent had prosecuted, Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) is forced to once again assume the mantle of Batman to launch a decisive counter-attack to save Gotham once and for all.
