The first official TV spot for The Dark Knight Rises has arrived, but not necessarily the one we were expecting…or the one we deserved. The new spot takes the form as a pseudo-commercial for the NBA Playoffs. Regardless of the basketball-related content, the new TV spot signals the start of The Dark Knight Rises marketing campaign after months of seeing still photos released here and there on the internet.
The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Nestor Carbonell, Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Joey King, Brett Cullen, Chris Ellis and Josh Stewart and arrives in theaters on July 20th 2012.
