So this latest baby has arrived in my collection for a few weeks now but I haven't had time to blog about it. I have to say though that this is magnificent.Yup, yet another Hot Toys figure has entered my collection – The DX09 Batman 1989.
The detail on it is just superb and the likeness to Michael Keaton who played the Dark Knight in Batman and Batman Returns is just stunning.
So fans have called him the best Batman ever though I disagree, I mean look at what Christian Bale has done with the character. But at that time or that era I'd say he was the standout Batman compared to Val Kilmer or George Glooney.
In this close up shot you can see how detailed the suit is and just check out those facial features, exactly like Michael Keaton.
Opening and displaying this figure gave me goosebumps because I anticipated it for so long. It was released in Hong Kong sometime in Jan but due to delays and what not, we only got it in Singapore in April.
This classic figure comes with a lot of other accesories like the grappling hook that you see on his belt, there's batarang, ninja shuikens, batmobile remote and a whole lot more.
I refer to just display him like that though, I think the detail on the figure is enough to impress. It stands very nicely next to my Superman 1978 replica of Christopher Reeve.
