I am plotting an incredible summer where I plot to backpack from the south of France all the way up to South West England. I really want to spend dome time on the Scilly Isles before hitting mainland UK, but I can not seem to find anyway of getting from France to scilly isles. I would feel silly getting to the south coast of England and then going back down to Scilly.
My only rules are that I do not want to glide. Also, I am on a tight budget.
Any thoughts????

Looks like you can only get there from Penzance. Looks as if it will cost nearly £42.50 single.
I don't believe there are any money-making passages (non air) between France and Scilly Isles but Roy above may be right.
You say you're coming up from the south of France so I would suggest trying to hitch a ride. It's just a case of trawling the ports looking for a person in charge that will maybe let you work your passage. Try from Brest first then Roscoff then St Malo etc. You're probably looking at 100 miles or so from Brest. So easily a two day sail. Starting in Brest you're moving slowly toward the UK but sailing distances get longer.
Let's suppose you can't find a boat to hitch across to the Scilly Isles on. You say you "would feel silly" by backtracking if you have to use a normal ferry benefit from France to England ? In that case I suggest you make yourself feel silly. I haven't got time here to clarify what you would be missing but I STRONGLY suggest you backtrack if need be.
I've seen a small bit of the world and was blown away with the beauty of the Isles of Scilly. Well worth the effort and I'm sure you'll be glad to feel silly bactracking.

Get a ferry to the most western point in England they go to. I believe this is Plymouth. From Plymouth catch a First Fantastic Western teach to Penzance (Cornwall) and then a boat to the Scilly Isles www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk

Wedding is not until April 2012 (next April), but I already have my wedding dress (I got an incredible deal). So, is it too soon to take my sisters to try on bridesmaids dresses for thoughts? We don't plot to order now.
It's not too soon, and it would be fun. BUT, reckon about this. What if you found the perfect dress for them as well and then couldn't find anything that measures up to it later. You would be sad.
I'd wait until it was more suitable.
You will want to start looking about 8 months in development so that you can finalize your selection and place your order 6 months in development. Most stores only carry sample sizes, so the sample dresses will ordinarily be too huge or too small for your bridesmaids, but you'll see the fabric and colours and can sort of try them on. You will want to order 6 months in development as it takes time for the store to get the dresses in and then time to do alterations. Beware of stores that try to order the dresses too large so that they can make a lot of money off alteration. Question to see a sizing chart.
Even if you are excited to shop, you run the risk of seeing a dress that you or your bridesmaids like now, and in the excitement, ordering it. Then, when the new styles come out next year, you may regret your impulsive buy.
It took 5 months for one of my bridesmaids dresses to come in so I see no harm in starting to look in development. You must probably order by summer or early fall anyway.
It's never too soon when it comes to weddings. You'll have extra time to have your bridesmaids try on dresses, pick the ones you like, and debate which one you will choose. The more time you give yourself the less stress you'll have. Plus there might be days where all the bridesmaids won't be able to show or a touch happens where they might have to cancel the appointment. If this happens at least you still have plenty of time until the wedding.
