New poster for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES implies final trial by fire ... May 22nd 2012, 02:15 Today the Facebook page for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES released a new poster design for the film, backing up that it's director Christopher Nolan's last story in his Batman trilogy with fiery conviction. Gotham is literally in flames behind the Dark Knight (Christian Bale) as he confronts his most lethal nemesis, Bane (Tom Hardy). The tone and body language of Batman's pose ties in neatly with the Dark Knight's damaged reputation in Gotham after the events of Nolan's 2008 second chapter, THE DARK KNIGHT. Also starring Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES in theaters July 20th.
