Quick eye of the day with Le Metier de Beaute Penelope ...
May 19th 2012, 23:56

I was in a terrible rush this morning and didn't have much time to have a play with Penelope but this is what I came up with.

1. primed my eyes with Benefit Stay Don't Stray eye shadow primer
2. applied Blonde Amber (top color) all over the lid into the crease
3. applied Satin Amethyst over Blonde Amber on the lid only
4. applied Bronze Topaz into the crease and on the outer corners
5. blended a little
6. applied Black Emerald as liner to upper lashes only(next time I'll use it wet or over my Lancome Gris Noir- I like a little more oomph liner wise).
7. applied a touch more Blonde Amber up under the brow

My dark circles/bags have been fierce the last few days(aww, who am I kidding my dark circles and bags are one of my biggest torments)- I woke last night around 1 am and didn't go back to sleep until almost 5 am (then had to be up at 7am).  You can probably also see my little powder flub under my eye area that the flash picked up.... I over did it a little a lot setting my concealer.

This look wore fabulously all day, and I had a humdinger( the dr's office, labs and then the dreaded DMV)!  This application felt like nothing on my lids- absolutely weightless.  This was a very natural look, quite a departure for me- I like a little more drama, but I went quick and easy.

This palette is so versatile it can go very light and easy for daytime then be oomphed up for evening (or for day if you want to let your inner diva out).

I bought this from Bergdorf's
