All types of movies are on there way to the theatre this summer, great for those gloomy June days we have here in Santa Barbara!

Though the spring and summer weather here brings the Santa Barbara population to the beach, with the vast amount of new and exciting movies, people of all ages will be heading to the movie theaters.
Men in Black III-
Men in Black 3
The MIB duo of Agent Jay (Will Smith) and Agent Kay (Tommy Lee Jones) are back in action. When the world is threatened by an evil alien, Agent Jay travels back in time to 1969, where he teams up with the younger Agent Kay to stop an evil villain named Boris (Jemaine Clement) from destroying the world in the future. Emma Thompson will play take-charge MIB operative Agent Oh, who is monitoring a prison breakout.

Buzz: The third installment of the popular series has many excited to see Will Smith in his latest movie. Hopefully the film could pave the way for a possible Men in Black IV.
The Dark Knight Rises-
Summary:Eight years after Batman took the fall for Two Face's crimes, a new terrorist leader, Bane overwhelms Gotham's finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that brands him an enemy. This is the last of the three Batman movies.

Buzz: The Dark Knight was one of the most popular and acclaimed movies in the past few years, with a Oscar winning performance by the late Heath Ledger. This sequel has big names, like Anne Hathaway, Christian Bale, and Tom Hardy, and is sure to be an exciting and action packed film.
Snow White and the Hunstman-

Snow White and the Huntsman
Summary: Snow White and the Huntsman is a new take on the classic fairy tale which features an expanded role for the Huntsman. In the fairy tale, he is ordered to take Snow White into the woods and kill her, but instead lets her go. In the new take, the Huntsman is not a love interest but acts more as a mentor, teaching Snow White to fight and survive.

Buzz: This is the second Snow White based movie to come out this year, and is definitely the darker of the two. Many are excited to see a dramatic and thrilling adaptation of the classic fairy tale, starring The Twilight Saga's Kristen Stewart.

Summary: John (Mark Wahlberg) is a perfectly normal Boston native whose childhood wish for his teddy bear to come to life comes true. The bear, Ted (voiced by Seth McFarlane) remains his best friend into his adult years. Conflict emerges when Ted's irresponsible and vulgar slacker lifestyle comes in the way of John's attempt to embrace his adulthood and the woman of his dreams, Lori (Mila Kunis)

Buzz: No summer is complete without a hilarious movie with crude humour, and this movie promises to be a must see. The fact that Ted is directed by the creator of the popular show Family Guy guarantees it to be funny and entertaining.
Madagascar 3-

Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman are still fighting to get home to their beloved Big Apple. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they reinvent – Madagascar style.

Buzz: The third kid-friendly animated installment, Madagascar 3 has to live to the expectations of the hilarious comedies that came before. This time, the animals are headed to Europe, where they are sure to get into a lot of trouble and funny situations.

Buzz: The classic guy idols will be sure to please the numbers with this action packed and suspenseful new film, featuring famous faces and tons of explosions.

Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D
Summary: This movie is a documentary covering the life of Katy Perry and her rise to fame. It covers her struggles and triumphs on and off the stage.

Buzz: Most high school girls, especially students at Dos Pueblos who saw Katy perform live in the Greek are so excited to see their California girl on the big screen!
