The Fighter

This movie receives 4 1/2 out of 5 stars

It is rated: R for adult content and language

Inspired by true events, a middle aged boxer (Mark Walhberg) is given a second chance to follow his dreams. His struggle is deciding who should manage and train him. His dilemma comes either from allowing his brother (Christian Bale - Oscar winning performance) to train him or his new girlfriend (Amy Adams). Melissa Leo (Oscar winning role) and Melissa McMeekin co-star.
This is such a good movie. The premise is great and the casting is chosen well. Every actor performs wonderfully. Some parts of this movie were actually funny as well. The protagonist has sisters that, when left on their own really get riled up and throw fits when they don't get their way. I understand that men aren't perfect, yet, at times, women can overreact when they're trying to establish feline dominance. On a side note, anyone who is a fan of Conan O'Brien - His sister has a part in the movie as one of the sisters. Overall, this is a movie worth watching.
