Oh yea, we supposed to talk about Christian Gareth Bale’s return. One of the most successful youth products (others include Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain) from Southampton’s academy, it was inevitable for him to score on his return. And the inevitable heart celebration.
Bale rose the highest to knock the ball past Boruc. 1-0 to Spurs.
Dempsey then doubled Spurs advantage prompting Southampton’s rally which yielded a goal from Rodriguez. Alas, it was too little too late as Spurs held on for the win.
