A Bossier City woman was sent to LSU Hospital with broken bones and internal injuries after she was thrown from a ride at the State Fair of Louisiana late Saturday.
The fairgoer was identified as Klarissa Graves by fair President and General Manager Chris Giordano, who said he spoke with Graves’ mother at LSU Hospital Sunday.
Giordano said he was told that Graves suffered two fractures of the spine and a fracture near her hip, as well as a torn spleen but soon would move from the ICU to a room.
Sunday, the fair’s closing day, the Fun Factory ride from which Graves was thrown was shut down on order of the State Fire Marshal, whose office now is investigating the accident.
