(From Daily Mail) Here is Tom Cruise, springing into action for his upcoming movie, All You Need Is Kill.
In a first look at the film, the actor is seen clad in mean-looking futuristic battle outfit, in character as Lt. Col. Bill Cage.
With a determined, steely expression, Cruise runs through a fiery explosion as he fights for survival against aliens.
A synopsis for the flick – which Cruise was filming this summer in the UK – was recently released, and revealed that Tom’s alter ego doesn’t fare too well, almost immediately being killed in battle.
However, in the world of science fiction, anything is possible and Cruise’s soldier character finds himself caught in a time loop.
He finds that he can relive his last day over and over again, becoming more skilled as time goes on.
Directed by The Bourne Identity’s Doug Liman, the film also stars Emily Blunt and Titanic’s Bill Paxton as the tough leader of Cruise’s platoon.
All You Need Is Kill is based on the Japanese light novel of the same name by Hiroshi Sakurazaka, with illustrations by Yoshitoshi ABe.
Warner Bros. has scheduled it for release on March 14 next year.
