Variety reports that Zoe Saldana and Christian Bale are in talks to star in a new movie titled Out of the Furnace. It's billed as a 70s style revenge thriller, and will see Bale play an ex-con who struggles to avenge the death of his brother. Saldana will play his ex-wife, and other actors rumoured to be attached to the project include Robert Duvall and Casey Affleck.
Out of the Furnace is being written and directed by Crazy Heart scribe Scott Cooper, with Ridley and Tony Scott serving as producers.
Audiences can next catch Christian Bale reprising his role of Batman in The Dark Knight Rises, which arrives July 20. Zoe Saldana is currently shooting the next Star Trek movie, and she's also expected to return to Pandora for a pair of sequels to Avatar.
