The marketing machine for The Dark Knight Rises has been great eye candy up to this point. Here's a little something for the ears.
The official track list for The Dark Knight Rises was released a few days ago and now Batman-news.com has posted a soundboard with 30 second samples of each of the tracks from the soundtrack.
There are many references to Batman Begins and The Dark Knight in terms of tone and actual samples from the prior movie soundtracks. With that said, from the samples that you can hear below, it stands well on its own. The soundtrack will be available for sale on July 17 and you can pre-order it on Amazon now. Eight years after The Dark Knight, the terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to the limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent. The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Marion Cotillard. The film hits theaters and IMAX July 20.
