With more leaks, the comparisons between Christopher Nolanâs Dark Knight Trilogy and Zack Snyderâs Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice are inevitable. While much has been said about Ben Affleck VS Christian Bale, we pit the two Batmobiles against each other.
New footage shows us the Batmobile that Ben Affleckâs Batman will be driving in Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice and the first look suggest that itâs sleeker than the Tumbler which Batman used in Christopher Nolanâs Dark Knight Trilogy. While thereâs no commentary, the various shots of the car suggest that itâs quite a piece of work; we still donât know whether it will be upstage the Tumbler which was far more stocky. There are rumours that Zack Snyderâs version might fly as well and it looks entirely possible thanks to the trailer. There was also a shot of Batplane firing shots which some suggest is the same vehicle. We must point out that new Batmobile seems to violate Batmanâs strictly no guns policy! Check out the footage here:
Incidentally, the Tumbler from the Dark Knight trilogy was particularly appreciated by fan boys and the filmâs production designer described it as a cross between a Lamborghini and a tank. The vehicle is unabashedly based on Frank Millerâs comic series Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and has a workhorse experience. The Tumbler is essential to the storyline and Bruce first drives a camouflaged version at Wayne Enterprise.
In the second movie, an accountant called Coleman Reese deduces Bruce Wayne is Batman because of the designs of the Tumbler that he found in Wayne Enterprise. He decides to blackmail Bruce Wayne which lets Lucius Malfoy (Morgan Freeman) mouth this epic dialgoue: âLet me get this straight. You think that your client, one of the wealthiest, most powerful men in the world, is secretly a vigilante who spends his nights beating criminals to a pulp with his bare hands; and your plan, is to *blackmail* this person? Good luck.â In the final part of the trilogy, Bane steals several new tumblers from Wayne Enterprises and are used by him to control Gotham, and Batman has to use the Bat (his flying Batmobile) to destroy three of them.
